So fast! We've got a second All The Colors piece to display, this time with All The Markers! Whoohoo! Markers and colored pencils are neck and neck now!
by megatorg is titled Kaleidoscape, and it too is utterly beautiful. The rich variation was created with 132 markers... yes, this is amazing. I only have 48 markers and 132 colored pencils but I can see how the design developed and how great they all blend with each other.Now that there are two All The Colors challenge pieces, I'm going to add them to the footer with the thumbnails right under the Challenges themselves, so they can be on permanent display as y'all pick up the Challenges! I considered taking down last year's Grand Contest pieces from the Shoutboard, but we're warming up to doing this year's Grand Contest and it's nice to have the categories and rules and stuff already up as an example.
Please consider donating journal features and subscription prizes to the 2008 Grand Contest. I'll post more about that next time and post anytime someone pledges prizes! Art supplies or Blick certificates would be good prizes too. Also if you like a specific category, you could dedicate a prize to that category, example like, "A good used set of artist grade watercolors to the winner of the Animals Category." Be creative when you think of prizes. Any physical prizes will require the winner to send physical address or PO box to the prize donor. Prize donors get credited in the journal. Let's make this one a big one!

The dates for the Prismacolorists contest for 2008 have not yet been decided upon. We appreciate everyone who took part in the 2007 contest and congratulate everyone who won prizes! If you think you would like to enter the contest this year, begin your drawings now so you have a lot of time to work on them and plan them out! That way you don't have to worry so much about life getting in the way of creating your artwork when the dates for this year's contest are announced.
